As a respected journalist, her storytelling is filled with humor and heart. Her effervescent personality makes her relatable, and her warmth is palpable. This was most evident when Bessie served as show host for multimedia retailer, HSN. She developed an exceptional rapport with viewers as well as celebrity guests, industry experts, fashion icons, jewelry designers and beauty brands.
Most recently, Bessie was a brand ambassador for Audi of America and served as host of Audi’s digital series, Inside The Rings. From cruising the Pacific Coast Highway in the new RS7 to sitting down with the U.S. Ski Team, Bessie delivered viewers with the latest news, events and exclusive information related to the Audi brand.
You may also recognize her from hosting informational online videos for mega-retailer, Sears. As the “How To” girl, Bessie fronted fun demonstrations assisting the consumer, while enhancing their shopping experience.
She’s the go-to-gal for all things entertainment too and has become quite a fixture in the Chicago media circuit. She’s covered celebrity news for CelebTV and talked hot spots on FOX’s Good Day Chicago.
Bessie also covered fashion, food and nightlife for the NBC national lifestyle show, 1st Look, and fronted marketing projects and client campaigns for NBC Chicago. She also hosted the Emmy Award winning program, Prime Time Chicago on Comcast's CN100. In November 2009, Bessie received a Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award for her hosting duties.
Prior to that, Bessie worked at CN8-The Comcast Network in Boston, helping launch and develop the entertainment news program, Backstage. In 2006, she earned a New England Emmy Award for her work on that show. She hosted and produced various programs and special projects at the network spanning entertainment, technology and marketing.
Bessie's career began in Los Angeles where she worked on a variety of shows at E! Entertainment Television. Most notably, she was a segment producer for the E! True Hollywood Story. She also worked behind the scenes at CNN in Los Angeles and WHDH-TV in Boston.
A proud Boston native, Bessie received a Bachelor of Science degree from Emerson College in Broadcast Journalism. Along with her two Emmy Award statuettes and ten Emmy nominations, she is also very proud of winning five Telly Awards.
